Pharynx or throat

Pharynx is compose of 3 regions: nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngopharynx. As we eat, foods will be pass through this tubes same as air. Below the pharynx, we have the structure of esophagus that leads to the stomach and the epiglottis above the larynx. When we swallow, larynx will be covered by the epiglottis for the food not to enter to it and the food will be directed towards the stomach.
