How are rainbows made?

 

Rainbows are made through the rays of the sun. Actually, the color of the sun is not just white or yellow, its made up of many colors; namely red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. When the suns ray shines through water droplets in the atmosphere the rays scatter and spread into 7 colors. This is because these water particles act as a prism which bends light, resulting in the spread of many colors.
